Antique Italian Handcrafted Primitive 19th Century Canoe Cabinet Pair
The most interesting and unusual bar or cabinet pair we’ve found in Italy! As the story goes - Italian ingenuity meets South Pacific teak wood canoe. The canoe is primitive - hollowed out from a solid teak tree trunk. Then decades later the canoe was cut in two, framed with back wall and trim, decked out with shelves, door hinges and functional latches to create quite the conversation piece. Reminiscent of the Ahwahnee Lodge in Yosemite, the Algonquin Hotel in NYC, or an Alpine spa in the Dolomite?
